Season’s Greetings to our members and friends in the irradiation community

As 2025 draws to a close, we reflect on a busy and productive year for the iia. We introduced new resources, strengthened connections across our community, and launched important initiatives. We are grateful to our members, affiliates, and the wider irradiation community for the continued support and active engagement.

Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited to continue our collaborative efforts and achieve more together with our members. For those celebrating, we wish you a joyous holiday season and a prosperous New Year!

2025: A productive year for the iia

2025 was another busy year for the iia team as it worked to advance its ongoing initiatives, develop new activities to meet the evolving needs of our community, and strengthen its collaboration and impact globally.

Over the past year the iia released six publications, delivered four informative webinars, contributed to more than eight industry events, launched two new initiatives to benefit the healthcare community, and continued to support collaboration between industry and academia. We have also initiated arrangements for the next IMRP that will take place in Düsseldorf in April 2027 and had the pleasure of welcoming eight new member organisations to iia.

Looking toward 2026

In 2026, we will continue to expand our programme of informative webinars, regional events, and new publications, along with ongoing organisational efforts for IMRP 2027. We also look forward to connecting with our members at the recently announced iia Roadshow, scheduled for April 2026, immediately before INTAC in China.

In December of this year, Arthur Dumba (iia General Manager) and the board met to review the iia’s strategic aims and objectives. Early in the New Year, we will share an outline of this review, followed by a members webinar where we will present the projects planned for 2026 that align with the updated strategy.

Stay tuned for more details in the New Year!

Thank You

A special thank you to our members for being a part of iia in 2025. All our members are greatly valued and enable the iia to support the science and industry of irradiation. We look forward to continuing our work for the irradiation community in the New Year.

As always, please feel free to contact iia with your thoughts and recommendations. Any news items that you would like to share through the association can be sent to Katherine Comben (Communications Executive) by email.

The iia team looks forward to reconnecting with you in the New Year and we wish you a wonderful holiday season!
