A Holiday Message from the iia
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the iia team! 2023 was another productive year for iia and we thank our members, affiliates and other friends and colleagues from the irradiation community for their support and participation. We look forward to continued success in the New Year with IMRP 2024 and new initiatives to look forward to.
2023 – a year of change and growth
The iia has seen some big changes over the last year. We have restructured to strengthen our connection with membership and to add focus to understanding the needs of the irradiation community.
The iia’s operational capabilities have grown to enable us to take on new projects and to better communicate our accomplishments and keep our audience updated on industry news, events and, of course, IMRP 2024.

- New iia Technical Advisory Group
- Completion of 2023 Leadership Program
- Phytosanitary Irradiation Platform (PsIP) Webinars
- Creation of the Eb/X working group
We have exciting plans for 2024
Some of these plans, such as IMRP 2024 and the 2024 Leadership Program are well developed, and work has already started on these projects. New initiatives that target specific industry needs are being developed along with projects that can be undertaken by the iia’s Working Groups.
We look forward to sharing more exciting news with you over the coming months, so please look out for updates on the iia website and be sure to follow iia on LinkedIn.
IMRP 2024 will be a major focus for iia and we will be keeping the radiation processing community regularly updated as the program and arrangements develop.

A special thank you to our members for being a part of iia in 2023. All our members are greatly valued and enable the iia to support the science and industry of irradiation.
