‘Radiation Dosimetry Now and in the Future’ latest iia webinar coming soon

📅 Wednesday 24th September, 2025

🕒 3pm – 4pm BST (4pm CEST, 9am CDT, 7am PDT)

Topics for this webinar will include an overview of chemical, optical, and physical dosimetry systems, their applications, limitations, and key selection factors; the challenges of dosimetry in low-energy electron beam and X-ray applications; and emerging trends such as electron beam adoption, advanced training needs, Release Based on Irradiator Parameters (RBIP), and “e-dosimetry” via Monte Carlo modeling. The session will also introduce single-molecule dosimetry techniques that directly measure DNA damage, which can bridge between physical dosimetry and biological testing.

Join HEALTHiiaR – An iia Collaboration Community

HEALTHiiaR is now welcoming member participation in its four dedicated workstreams: Safety Assurance, Adjunct Processing Plus (AP+), Radiopharmaceuticals, and Annex 12Learn more about HEALTHiiaR and each workstream here.

HEALTHiiaR is a collaborative community operating under the iia focused on advancing the use of radiation technologies in the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical sectors. Guided by a steering committee of industry leaders, the community is open to all stakeholders, including regulators, standards bodies, academia, and industry partners.

Express your interest – parametric release for gamma irradiation

The iia, through its Gamma Working Group, has started discussion about parametric release for gamma irradiation. Whilst this has been considered for many years, are we only now in a position where technology enables us to drive this forward? Or have the fundamental barriers to implementation not changed? We are looking to better understand the suitability, challenges, necessary steps and whether there is an industry desire to drive forward the potential of parametric release for gamma irradiation.

If you would like to participate in the discussion or express your views on this topic, please contact Martin Comben at mcomben@iiaglobal.com.
