This webinar will introduce the iia’s roadmap to evaluating investment in an electron beam or X-ray center for industrial applications, along with examples of how it has been used in an actual feasibility analysis. This roadmap is directed to executives and middle management level professionals to introduce the concepts necessary to evaluate the feasibility of such an installation. The webinar will also introduce initiatives of IAEA and ORS and highlight their interest in these technologies and their important applications.
‘Security of Radioactive Sources Used in Industrial Radiation Processing’ Best Practice Guide
This updated iia/WINS Best Practice Guide supports the management of security at gamma irradiation facilities. It aims to define stakeholder responsibilities, provide physical and cybersecurity security advice, and highlight the importance of security culture and taking a whole life approach towards radioactive sources. This practical guide includes a self-assessment questionnaire that enables operators to measure their security arrangements against a five-level maturity scale. This guide can be used in conjunction with the iia/WINS security assessment methodology.
The iia signs Cooperation Agreement with France Rayonnements Ionisants
The iia and France Rayonnements Ionisants (FRI) have signed an agreement to work in partnership on activities that will improve knowledge and create a better understanding and appreciation of irradiation applications and technologies by those both within and outside the industry, and by students and young professionals.
