Radiation Dosimetry Now and in the Future
September, 2025
Recording of the iia webinar ‘Radiation Dosimetry Now and in the Future’, held 24th September 2025.
Topics for this webinar include an overview of chemical, optical, and physical dosimetry systems, their applications, limitations, and key selection factors; the challenges of dosimetry in low-energy electron beam and X-ray applications; and emerging trends such as electron beam adoption, advanced training needs, Release Based on Irradiator Parameters (RBIP), and “e-dosimetry” via Monte Carlo modeling. The session also introduces single-molecule dosimetry techniques that directly measure DNA damage, which can bridge between physical dosimetry and biological testing.
Presenters:
- Arthur Dumba (Host) – International Irradiation Association (iia), General Manager
- Scot Larson – Far West Technology, Inc., Vice President
- Mark Bailey – Risø High Dose Reference Laboratory, Physicist
- Florent Kuntz – Aerial, Strategic Development Manager
- Joseph Robertson – National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Physical Scientist
