Phytosanitary Irradiation Platform Webinar Recordings Available Now

The Phytosanitary Irradiation Platform (PsIP) recently held two webinars discussing the effect on fruit quality when using phytosanitary irradiation as a post harvest treatment. The recordings of these webinars are now available to watch, along with brief descriptions of both webinars below:

Effects of Phytosanitary Irradiation on Fresh Produce Quality
  • Presenter: John Golding (Research Scientist, Department of Regional NSW, Australia)
  • Date: Monday, 26 February 2024

The webinar delves into the impacts of Phytosanitary Irradiation on fresh produce quality, offering valuable insights into employing low-dose irradiation to eliminate or sterilise quarantine insect pests within fruits and vegetables. It also addresses potential technical barriers and provides solutions to optimise quality and commercial outcomes.
