Meet the iia at the 5th International Conference on Ionizing Processes
The International Irradiation Association (iia) is looking forward to attending and supporting the 5th International Conference on Ionizing Processes, taking place in Santa Fe, USA, from 15-20 November 2026. Representing the iia at the conference will be Thomas Kroc, iia US Representative.
Bringing together researchers, industry professionals and government representatives from across the field, the conference provides an opportunity to understand the latest developments in ionizing processing and strengthen connections between academia and industry.
The iia will be contributing to several parts of the conference programme, with a focus on raising awareness of the radiation processing industry, showcasing its applications and opportunities, and encouraging greater collaboration between research and industry.
As part of the Early Career Workshop, the iia will introduce students and early career professionals to the radiation processing industry, highlighting the range of career opportunities available and offering practical insight into industry roles, skills and applications. The session will help participants understand how their research and expertise can translate into real-world opportunities.
The iia will also contribute to the wider conference programme, bringing together perspectives from industry, research and government to explore the industry in greater depth. Discussions will cover scientific advances, regulatory and technical developments, emerging technologies, and opportunities to align research with industrial and environmental applications. Panel discussions will provide a platform for discussion and help strengthen collaboration between academia and industry.
The iia sessions will feature contributions from companies across the radiation processing industry, providing delegates with an opportunity to hear directly from organisations working in the sector.
