IMRP 2024 Sustainabilty Guidelines for Attendees

The theme of IMRP 2024 is “Irradiation Technologies – Available, Sustainable and Growing”. With this in mind, the iia aspires to obtain the Blue Flag Sustainability Certification from the Costa Rican association “Yo hago el cambio” (I make the change) by promoting sustainability and reducing
the environmental impact of the event.

We ask all attendees to use QR codes in place of physical printouts whenever possible. Most smartphone camera apps can read QR codes, but if yours does not please be sure to install a QR code reader app before the conference.

We encourage all attendees and exhibitors to join us in our sustainability efforts by adhering to the following guidelines:

Minimise Handouts: Reduce paper waste by limiting the number of printed materials. Offer digital alternatives such as QR codes for downloading brochures and information.

Digital Business Cards: Instead of having printed cards, your company representatives can use digital cards – please note that all delegate nametags will have a QR code with the participant’s contact information, it is not necessary to make this yourself.

Recycling Stations: The conference centre will set up clearly labelled recycling bins for paper, plastics, and other recyclable materials.

Creating QR Codes

It is free and easy to create QR Codes for links, documents, or digital business cards. Using a website such as QR Code Monkey allows you to create QR codes with a variety of different types of content. Follow the links below to head straight to creating QR codes that would be useful at IMRP 2024:
