iia to participate in Ad-Hoc Working Group on Alternatives to High-Activity Radioactive Sources
The Ninth Annual Meeting of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Alternatives to High-Activity Radioactive Sources is being held 30 July – 1 Augest 2024, 1pm – 3:30pm CEST. This virtual meeting will provide a forum to discuss non-radioisotopic technologies, focusing on environmental challenges, climate change, risk mitigation, and the economics of these alternatives.
Rob Edgecock, iia Eb/X and PsIP General Manager, will be presenting at Session 1 ‘Climate Change, Mitigation, and Green Applications of Alternative Technologies’ panel, and moderating Session 4 ‘Special Policy Topic’ panel discussion.
The meeting aims to facilitate dialogue among governments, end-users, NGOs, industry organizations, and other stakeholders to share experiences and perspectives on transitioning to alternative technologies. Delegates from all countries are invited to participate, with a strong emphasis on diversity, encouraging the involvement of attended from different backgrounds and those from underrepresented groups.
