iia to host event at the IAEA Ministerial Conference

‘The Importance of Irradiation to Global Wellbeing’

The iia will host a side event at the IAEA ‘Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Science, Technology and Applications and the Technical Cooperation Programme’ on 27 November 2024. The event titled ‘The Importance of Irradiation to Global Wellbeing’ will highlight the important contributions made by radiation processing and how, through its wide range of applications, irradiation helps to keep us safe and healthy, supports our economies and helps to protect the global environment.

The conference audience will be made up of ministers, senior officials and policymakers from IAEA Member States. The iia will encourage the support of radiation processing technologies and applications and encourage cooperation in the development of innovations in irradiation.
