Season’s Greetings to our members and friends in the irradiation community
As 2024 draws to a close, we take this opportunity to reflect on a year of progress and change for the iia. Over the past year, we have welcomed new members, experienced evolution within the iia board and operational team, enhanced our communications efforts, successfully hosted IMRP 2024, and much more.
We thank our members, affiliates, and the broader irradiation community for their support and active engagement this year.
Looking ahead to 2025, we are excited to continue our collaborative efforts and implement new initiatives on the horizon. For those celebrating, we wish you a joyous holiday season and a prosperous New Year!
2024 – a year of evolution for the iia
2024 was a busy year for the iia team. hosting IMRP 2024 was a significant undertaking for our relatively small team, but we recognise the importance of moving our other initiatives forward alongside the conference’s organisational efforts.
Over the past year the iia has released eight publications, launched the Eb/X Systems and Suppliers Database, and significantly enhanced our communications efforts. We have also strengthened engagement in China, collaborated on important industry initiatives, and progressed the re-development of the Leadership Program.

21st International Meeting on Radiation Processing
The iia proudly hosted IMRP 2024 in Costa Rica this November, marking the 21st edition of the event. IMRP 2024 brought the irradiation community together, with over 300 attendees, under the theme of ‘Irradiation Technologies – Available, Sustainable and Growing’.
The success of this year’s meeting was made possible by the invaluable contributions of many individuals beyond the iia, including members of the Organising and Program Committees, sponsors, presenters, exhibitors, and attendees.
Look back at the event by watching our new IMRP 2024 highlights video, above. Thank you to everyone who joined us in Costa Rica this year, we look forward to meeting you all again at the next IMRP: Germany, Spring 2027!
