France Rayonnements Ionisants officially formed
The French not-for-profit association France Rayonnements Ionisants was officially formed in Fontenay-aux-Roses on October 1, 2024. Its aim is to bring together French players (companies, universities, public organisations, administration, research centers, technical centers, consultants, manufacturers, suppliers, users, etc.) in the field of ionizing radiation (gamma, X-rays, electron beams and ion beams), to facilitate and to develop the activities of these players, and encourage exchanges, collaborations and partnerships. Its slogan is Exchange, Train, Guide.
The founding members include representatives of AERIAL, ATRON, CEA, CNES, IONISOS, IRSN, SARTORIUS, Université Champagne Ardennes, Université de Lorraine, and TRAD.
The Board of the association has 12 members. Yves Hénon (formerly with iia) was elected President, Juliette Colombani (IRSN) Secretary and Nathalie Chatry (TRAD) Treasurer.
