Dosimeters for liquids
Our member the Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology FEP in Dresden, Germany, is intensively working on low-energy electron beam processes in aqueous biosystems in the field of medical and biotechnological applications.
To date, there is no satisfactory tool to determine dose in a liquid.
The scientists of Fraunhofer Institute just announced that they developed radiochromic liquid dosimeters for doses in the 0.1 – 40 kGy range to determine the absorbed dose in a liquid during electron beam processes.
