Call for Early Career Professional Award Nominations

The International Irradiation Association (iia) wants to recognise future leaders in the irradiation industry. This award recognises the contribution early career professionals have made to the irradiation community, and spotlights the industry’s future leaders.

iia Early Career Professional Award will be awarded at IMRP 2024. These Awards are presented to individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of the science, technology, application or business of radiation processing. Recipients of this award are expected to be individuals under the age of 40 years with less than 15 years industry experience.

NOMINATIONS

Members of iia are invited to nominate candidates for recognition at IMRP 2024.  If you wish to nominate an individual for the Early Career Professional Award then please send your Letter of Recommendation to Arthur Dumba (adumba@iiaglobal.com) by 30th September 2024.

You are encouraged to supply additional information (e.g. a biography) to support your nomination.

VOTING CRITERIA & PROCEDURE

The Early Career Professional Award winners are selected by the Awards Committee that is made up of members of the iia Board and staff.  A structured process is used to remove subjectivity as much as possible. Each nominated individual is scored against 20 criteria that are important characteristics of a Early Career Professional Award winner. Each criterion is weighted to reflect its level of importance to the Award selection process.
