On the occasion of the International Conference on Accelerators for Research and Sustainable Development: From Good Practices Towards Socioeconomic Impact opening this week (23–27 May 2022) in Vienna, Austria, the May 2022 issue of the IAEA Bulletin, a quarterly publication, is dedicated to Applications of Accelerators and Other Sources of Ionizing Radiation. This edition of the IAEA Bulletin explores different types of accelerators and examines the many ways the IAEA supports their applications in health, agriculture, research, environment and industry.
