16th International Symposium on Ionizing Radiation and Polymers (IRaP2026)

🗓️ 26-30 October 2026

📍 Phuket, Thailand

IRaP 2026 aims to: bring together scientists and engineers from universities, research centres and industrial sectors; promote innovative radiation-processed polymers and their applications; and provide a forum to exchange knowledge and information in this field.

The conference will cover the following main topics:

  • Radiation processing of polymers towards UN SDGs, Atoms4NetZero, Atoms4Climate, Atoms4Development
  • Fundamentals on ionizing radiations interactions with polymers
  • Polymer ageing, polymer structure and properties modifications
  • Crosslinking, curing, grafting, and surface modification
  • Design of new polymeric materials using ionizing radiations: nanostructures and nanocomposites, functional hydro-/nanogels, 3D/4D printing
  • Radiation processing of sustainable polymers: Biopolymers, bio-based polymers, and biodegradable polymers
  • Polymers recycling and upcycling
  • Modification of polymer structure using swift heavy ions
  • Emerging technologies and development of industrial applications
  • Polymers for packaging, food, health, biotechnology, coatings, environment, and space applications, etc.
  • Irradiation facilities (eBeam/X-rays, Gamma-rays, Swift heavy ions) and process design for polymer processing
