IMRP 2024 Plenary Sessions Schedule
After receiving in excess of 170 abstracts, the Program Committee has been able to utilize the abstracts to create an extensive and diverse program being delivered over multiple platforms including Plenary presentations, Tech Theatres and an innovative Poster session. Plenary session details are available below, with additional information on the Tech Theatre program coming in late August.
Early-bird registration prices are available until 7 September 2024. We kindly remind all abstract presenters that they must register and complete their payment by this date to secure their spot in the IMRP 2024 program.

Spotlighting Plenary Presenations – The Business of Radiation Processing
Day 1: Reunite with industry colleagues at the opening ceremony of IMRP 2024. Listen to updates from the iia, learn about the program, and hear from sponsors. Two plenary sessions follow: one focused on the market sectors we operate in and another on radiation technologies, applications, and regional insights. The day concludes with the exhibition opening, featuring food and entertainment.
Day 2: Featuring two parallel sessions, one in Phytosanitary Processing and one in Sterilization. The Phytosanitary session starts with a recap of the PsIP meeting, followed by insights from global experts, including the USDA. The Sterilization session covers technological innovations in healthcare product sterilization, discussing material compatibility, standards updates, and manufacturer needs.
Day 3: Aligning with the IMRP 2024 theme, day 3 opens with a keynote from a radiation-reliant product manufacturer. This presentation will give global perspectives on the needs for sustainability policies and goals, and describe the role for radiation processing. Following presentations will cover quantifying sustainability efforts and setting future goals. The session concludes with a review of IMRP 2024’s sustainability achievements.
Day 4: Highlighting two key topics with significant relevance to radiation processing: Education and Leadership Development, with talks from industry leaders on the development of learning platforms and career advancement, and Regulatory insights relevant to Bioprocessing, Medical Device Sterilization, and Food Ingredient Irradiation.
