Investment in X-ray technology by STERIS

This month STERIS announced further investment with plans for the constuction of a new X-ray radiation processing facility in Tullamore, Ireland.

In addition to the new X-ray facility in Tullamore, STERIS support medical device manufacturing in Ireland through their existing ethylene oxide, electron beam, VHP and microbiological testing services in Tullamore, gamma processing in Westport, and product and packaging testing services in Galway.

Increased demand in medical device manufacturing, maintaining a technology neutral offering and developing processing redundancy have accelerated the STERIS plans for global expansion.
