IAEA and Aerial have renewed their partnership by re-designating Aerial as a Collaborating Centre of IAEA
IAEA and Aerial have renewed their partnership by re-designating Aerial as a Collaborating Centre of IAEA , among 50 leading structures in the world, including only 3 in France, for a new period of 5 years This re-designation recognizes the expertise and excellence of Aerial’s work in the following field: “Multisectoral applications of electron beam and X-ray irradiation techniques and associated dosimetry for radiation treatment and food ionization” and acknowledges Aerial’s long-standing commitment to the IAEA for technical support and training, particularly for the benefit of developing countries.
An official and symbolic plaque handover ceremony, online between IAEA headquarters in Vienna and Aerial premises in Illkirch, took place on March 7th 2022 with:
- Najat Mokhtar Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Head of the Department of Nuclear Science and Applications
- Jean-Louis Falconi Governor of France to the IAEA – Alain Strasser General Manager of Aerial-CRT -Thibaud Philipps Mayor of Illkirch
- Caroline Zorn Vice-President of the Ville et Eurométropole de Strasbourg Higher Education and Research
- Jean Rottner President of the Région Grand Est
