Fermilab Medical Device Sterilization Workshop 2026
Fermilab, member of the iia, is hosting it’s Medical Device Sterilization: A Decade of Learnings with Fermilab workshop, September 9 – 10, 2026, at the Tollestrup Auditorium on the Fermilab Campus in Batavia, Illinois. Registration is now open.
This workshop brings together professionals from across the medical device sterilization community to explore the future of radiation sterilization, and support of patient safety and sterility assurance. It is designed for technical, business, and regulatory professionals working in medical device manufacturing, accelerator manufacturing, contract sterilization, regulatory bodies, and testing laboratories.
Attendees will gain insights into the latest science behind X-ray, gamma, and electron beam sterilization technologies, be informed on developments in alternative sterilization methods, and contribute to discussions shaping the direction of the industry. The workshop also provides opportunities to collaborate with professionals across the supply chain and (subject to availability) engage with FDA representatives to better understand regulatory pathways for new and existing medical devices.
