Industry Initiatives

Our Industry Initiatives operate in conjunction with the iia, but function as separate entities focused on specific areas of interest to the irradiation industry. These initiatives are either wholly or partially managed by the iia, with aims to support the irradiation industry and scientific community through communication, education and advocacy.

International Meeting on Radiation Processing (IMRP)

International Meeting on Radiation Processing (IMRP)

The International Meeting on Radiation Processing (IMRP) is the premier event for all involved in the business and science of radiation processing. Organised by the iia every 2 - 3 years, it is where the business and science of irradiation come together to discuss recent advances and current trends, as well as the issues and opportunities that impact the commercial use of ionizing radiation.

The 22nd International Meeting on Radiation Processing (IMRP 2027) will be held 12 - 16 April 2027 in Düsseldorf, Germany, with the conference theme ‘A New Age for Irradiation’. The conference will feature presentations about the business, applications, innovative technologies, and environment of irradiation. The poster sessions will bring a focus to important and cutting edge research and science, and interactive forums will share current thinking on a wide range of radiation processing topics.
