IAEA unveils transportable e-beam system

A new transportable electron beam system has been launched at the IAEA on the sidelines of its General Conference being held this week.

The e-beam is housed in shipping containers that can be loaned out for research and development activities, demonstrations, and training in the operation and use of e-beam irradiation.

It will support the IAEA’s activities to assist Member States in capacity building and in accessing e-beam technology.
