IAEA’s International Conference on the Safe and Secure Transport of Nuclear and Radioactive Material 

The ‘International Conference on the Safe and Secure Transport of Nuclear and Radioactive Material’ will be held at the IAEA, Vienna, Austria from 23 to 27 March 2026.

The conference will cover the legislative and regulatory framework for the transport of nuclear and other radioactive material, and safety and security by design and during transport operations. It aims to address challenges in aligning national legal and regulatory systems with international instruments such as IAEA safety standards and other guidance and regulations. Attendance is expected from policy makers, regulatory bodies, government officials, users and operators, designers and manufacturers, as well as non-governmental organizations and academic institutions.

Interested contributors should submit a synopsis of their proposed paper by the recently extended deadline of 30 September 2025.
