Our Membership

Our Membership is diverse in terms of organisational size, specialisation and geographic location. Our members are involved in all aspects of irradiation from the sterilisation of healthcare products to the processing of wire and cale and from scientific research to food irradiation. As specialists in their fields, our members are subject matter experts and apply a cooperative approach to share knowledge and experience whilst striving to maintain the industries.

Laureate Members

Laureates received their award and accolade at various International Meetings on Radiation Processing (IMRP). The award winners have all made an outstanding contribution to the development of irradiation science and processing. The first IMRP meeting was held in Puerto Rico in 1976 and the first Laureate award was made at the second IMRP meeting in 1978. The International Irradiation Association (iia) is proud to maintain this tradition and makes awards at each IMRP meeting.
